WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University field hockey team fell, 2-1, to No. 12 Washington & Lee in an ODAC contest Wednesday before an awesome Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium crowd.Â
The Generals (12-0, 5-0 ODAC) used a late goal in the final quarter to defeat the Hornets (12-2, 5-1).
IN BRIEFÂ
W&L struck first as Freddie Tobeason cleaned up a loose ball in front of the net in the 21st minute to put the visitors on the board.

In the fourth quarter, at the 50:27 mark, Washington & Lee found the back of the net following a scrum in front of the cage that resulted from the Generals lone penalty corner of the second half. Peyton Tysinger fed Maddy Duggleby which proved to be the game-winner.Â
