Hornets Drop 3-1 Decision

LEXINGTON, Va. – Homestanding Washington & Lee scored the game's final two goals to earn a 3-1 ODAC women's soccer victory over Shenandoah Friday night.

The Generals (10-2-2, 5-1-2 ODAC) scored those two goals two minutes apart to pull away from Shenandoah (9-8-1, 5-3-1).

IN BRIEF
After being held without a shot in the opening 45 minutes of play, SU knotted the game at 1-1 on a Saige Musser goal in the 58th minute.

Musser's goal, her fourth of the season, found the upper left-hand corner of the net to bring the game back to level.

Unfortunately, the Generals, the fifth-ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches Region VI rankings, had an answer.

Erin Hoeh scored at 67:53 and Grace Wielechowski at 69:55 to provide the final margin.

Hoeh had the initial goal of the game, scoring off of a Madeleine Becker assist 63 seconds before halftime.
