ASHLAND, Va. – Host Randolph-Macon rolled up 384 rushing yards Saturday in a 45-14 ODAC football victory over Shenandoah.
R-MC (8-1, 4-1 ODAC) broke a 7-7 tie with a 10-play, 70-yard drive at the end of the first quarter to take a lead it would not relinquish.

The Yellow Jackets needed that drive as Shenandoah (5-3, 2-3) took advantage of a muffed Macon punt to score its first touchdown of the game.

Austin Ragan on a post pattern for the game-tying score one play after recovering the muffed punt.
R-MC took the ensuing kick and drove the 70-yards in 10 plays and 5:42 to score its second touchdown of the stanza. The score also started a run of 38 straight points for the hosts.
With 19 seconds remaining in the game,
Rashadeen Byrd Jr. scored the visitors second TD by capping an eight-play, 75-yard drive with a 1-yard TD plunge.
R-MC had 473 yards in total offense to 172 for the Hornets, gained 33 of the game's 40 first downs and had a 44:12 to 15:48 advantage in time of possession.
Brant Butler paced the SU offense with 88 yards receiving on three catches with quarterback
Steven Hugney throwing for 128 yards on six completions in 15 attempts.
Ben Burgan had 16 tackles for the second straight week with
Ahvyon Boothe and
David Agyei both making 11 stops.
Nigel Duberry rounded out the double-digit tacklers with 10.
