FERRUM, Va. – Host Ferrum College scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half in a 1-0 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah University Sunday afternoon.

Hornets goalkeeper Sam Fischer had six saves.

QUOTABLE

"A really tough game from start to finish," said head coach Zack MacDougall. "Obviously, a disappointing result, but the guys played with energy and enthusiasm. They worked hard for one another and should be proud of their effort. We had a lot of young players play significant minutes for us and that experience will be important moving forward as we continue ODAC play. We can't wait to be back at home next Sunday."

UP NEXT

The Hornets host Roanoke next Sunday at 2 p.m. in ODAC action.
