WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Virginia Wesleyan scored the first three goals of the game on its way to a 3-1 ODAC women's soccer victory over Shenandoah University Wednesday afternoon.
 
VWU (3-1, 3-1 ODAC) converted a penalty kick 2:11 before halftime and then scored a pair of goals midway through the second to pull away from Shenandoah (3-3, 1-3).

Hannah Shero scored the Hornets lone goal of the game by knocking home a PK at 82:37.
 
Anna Pedicone had the first and third goals for the Marlins with Reina Araujo tallying the second.
 
SU goalkeeper Alyssa Brown had two saves in 74:15 of action before Jordan Haack finished up. Haack did not have to face a shot on goal.
 
VWU had a 12-7 advantage in shots while Shenandoah took six of the game's nine corners.
