HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis won its fourth straight match to start the 2021 season with a 5-4 ODAC win at Hampden-Sydney Friday afternoon.

Trailing 2-1 following doubles, SU (4-0, 2-0 ODAC) won at Nos. 1, 3, 4, and 5 singles to take its third-ever victory over the Tigers (1-5, 0-4).

Freshman
Keith Orr, playing No. 1 singles, got the match-clinching victory with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win over Tyler Brice.

Orr's marathon triumph capped a comeback in which Shenandoah trailed 3-1 after H-SC took a straight set win at No. 6 singles to start that portion of the match.

Darian Diaz,
Aidan Steinly and
Brenton Baugh, playing Nos. 3, 5, and 4 singles, respectively, posted straight set wins to put Orr in position to clinch the win.

Vitali Rivera, lost 6-4, 7-6 (2) at No. 2 singles after the team result was determined.

Diaz and Steinly had the doubles win, combining to win 8-5 at No. 2.
