WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University completed its men's soccer season Saturday night on a positive note with a 2-0 non-league victory over Mount Aloysius.
The Hornets (2-6-2) scored both of their goals in the first half and held Mount Aloysius (0-1) off the board to earn the victory.

Zach Salazar scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 28th minute as he made a move from 20 yards out and ripped his shot into the right side of the net.
A tad more than seven minutes later, Salazar set up Pedro Flor for the insurance goal.
The Mounties, who played a man down for the entirety of the second half after receiving a red card with seven seconds remaining in the first, had five of their seven shots in the second half. Hornets goalkeeper Sam Fischer had to make just one save in posting the shutout victory in his final collegiate contest.
The two teams split 14 shots and two corner kicks.
NOTABLE
Saturday night's game was Senior Night for SU and Fischer, along with midfielder Armando Mondragon, were recognized prior to the contest.

Tonight's game completes the Hornets season. Shenandoah opens up the traditional 2021 campaign on Sept. 1 with a non-league road contest at Mount Aloysius.
