WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis team earned its seventh win of the season Friday with a 7-2 ODAC win over Ferrum College.
Shenandoah (7-2, 4-2 ODAC) won the top two doubles matches and all but No. 1 singles in taking out the Panthers (0-7, 0-7).Â

After FC knotted the score at 1-1 with an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles,
Keith Orr and
Vitali Rivera gave the hosts a lead they would not relinquish with an 8-3 victory in the top doubles match.

Brenton Baugh won by retirement at No. 4 singles for the third team point before Diaz and Rivera, playing Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, both won at love to clinch the team victory.

Will Sides, playing Nos. 5 and 6 singles, followed with 8-2 and 8-1 pro-set victories.

Orr, playing No. 1, was the final match on the court. He dropped a 6-0, 3-6, 0-1 (7-10) decision to Jose Villacis.
UP NEXT
Shenandoah travels to the Hill City Saturday to take on the University of Lynchburg in a noon ODAC match. Depending on the weather, this doubleheader match with the SU women could be moved indoors to the Crosswhite Tennis Club.
