GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end Saturday afternoon with a 17-13 ODAC loss at Guilford College.

Leading 10-7 entering the fourth period, Shenandoah (4-8, 2-7 ODAC) saw Guilford score 10 of the game's final 13 goals to rally for the win.

The Quakers (3-4, 3-4) scored the initial seven goals of stanza to turn that three-goal deficit into a 14-10 lead.

Jay Baker, off of a
Jet Hayes assist, snapped the SU scoreless string at 7:43. Baker's goal, his third of the game, started a three-goal run for the Hornets.

James Stewart scored with 7:27 left and
Drew Kagdis at 3:12, off of
Stephen Graham and
Max Myers assists, respectively, to bring Shenandoah to within one at 14-13.

Guilford had an answer though, scoring the final three goals of the game to secure the 17-13 win.

Baker paced SU with three goals and one assist for four points with
Logan Clingerman adding two goals and one assist and
Devon Weaver two goals.

Kagdis also had two goals while Hayes,
Tyler Held, and
Chris Baker all had a goal and an assist.

Mark Isabelle made 12 saves in the loss.

Guilford outshot the Hornets, 51-47, scooped up 27 of 44 groundballs and doubled up SU on face-offs, 22-11.

Today's game completes the Hornets season. Shenandoah will announce its 2022 schedule later this summer.
