WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Gettysburg College scored a pair of goals in quick succession midway through the second half Wednesday afternoon to fuel a 2-0 non-league women's soccer victory over Shenandoah.
 
The Bullets (2-0) scored in the 62
nd and 64
th minutes to provide enough offense to hold off SU (2-2).

Emma Bedell notched the game-winner on a penalty kick at 61:59 before setting up Grace Slevin 85 seconds later for an insurance tally.
 
GC outshot the Hornets, 7-4, including 5-2 in the second half.
 
Kasie Kilmer made one save for Shenandoah after playing the first half while 
Karissa Dominick made one stop over the initial 22:27 of the second.
 
Kira Ketelhut played the final 22:33 and also had one save.
 
Gettysburg also took three of the game's four corners.

The Hornets are on the road this weekend for a tournament at Misericordia University. SU plays Farmingdale (N.Y.) State in addition to the host Cougars.
