WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's soccer team completed its non-league slate Wednesday evening with a 3-1 victory over Mount Aloysius.
Shenandoah (3-4-3) snapped a five-game winless streak with the victory over the Mounties (2-7-2).
IN BRIEF
After Mount Aloysius took the initial lead of the game with a Braden Callahan goal at 34:38, SU struck three times in the second half to rally for the win.
Nathan Yared brought the game back to level with his seventh goal of the year, scoring at 47:16, before setting up
Connor Robles three minutes later with what proved to be the game-winner.
Nicholas Mounkhaty set up Yared at 56:33 to give the hosts a two-goal advantage.
MAC got off two shots on goal following Yared's second tally, but SU keeper
Nathan Lynch made a pair of saves to maintain the Hornets two-goal advantage.
Dylan Johnson started for Shenandoah in goal and made two stops in 45 minutes of play.
SU outshot the Mounties, 10-9, with MAC earning seven of the game's 12 corner kicks.
