SALEM, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team begins its quest for its second-ever ODAC Championship Friday with a 3 p.m. ODAC Tournament quarterfinal round game versus fifth-seeded Randolph.

Shenandoah comes into the Salem Civic Center with a 19-5 overall record after having finished 13-5 in ODAC play this season. One of those five league losses came at Randolph as the WildCats were 76-45 winners in Lynchburg on Jan. 12.

SU was without the services of Sarah Sondrol, Sierra St. Cyr, Gabby Krystofiak, and Brooke Riley for that contest; those four women combine for 22.9 points and 12.7 rebounds per outing.

St. Cyr, the 2022 ODAC Defensive Player of the Year and third team All-ODAC honoree, contributes 3.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game in addition to her team co-leading 5.8 rebounds per contest.

Senior Olivia Weinel leads Shenandoah into the game with a 13.0 points per game scoring average. The 2022 first team All-ODAC selection has been named ODAC Player of the Week twice this season and has scored in double digits in all but three games this year.

Shenandoah comes into the game as the fourth-best scoring team in the league at 64.8 points per game with Randolph eighth at 60.4. Defensively, it is a matchup of the top two teams in the league with the WildCats giving up 52.0 points per game and SU 54.2.

The Hornets are also the best shooting team in the league, making 43.6 percent of their attempts from the field, while Randolph is ninth. On the defensive side, Shenandoah's 32.8 opponent shooting percentage is best with Randolph third at 35.1.

Kylie Stark and Teniyah Crenshaw-Patterson pace Randolph in the scoring column with 13.0 and 12.9 points per game averages, respectively. Stark is also the team's leading rebounder at 6.4 per game.

Shenandoah and Randolph have met 18 times since SU joined the ODAC in 2012 with the Hornets winning 13 of those contests. Shenandoah is also 1-0 versus Randolph in ODAC Tournament play, winning 69-51 in Winchester in a 2014 opening round matchup.

The winner of Friday's quarterfinal meets the winner of the No. 1 Washington & Lee versus No. 9 Guilford game on Saturday. SU downed both the Generals and Quakers on its run to the 2019 ODAC title.
