SALISBURY, Md. – The Shenandoah University men's soccer team completed its play Sunday in the Elmer Lord Tournament hosted by Salisbury University with a 2-1 loss to St. Mary's of Maryland.

SMCM (1-1) struck first, scoring in the seventh minute, before getting what proved to be the game-winning goal at 35:40.

Nathan Yared, who had the game-winner on Saturday versus host Salisbury, had Shenandoah's lone goal. He converted a feed from
Maynor Menendez at 37:39 to cut the deficit in half.

The Hornets had six of their 10 shots in the second half, and six of 10 corner kicks, but could not register the equalizing goal.

The two teams split 20 shots on the day with Shenandoah holding a 10-3 advantage on corner kicks.
