Men's Soccer Semifinals Preview

LEXINGTON, Va. - The No. 4 Shenandoah men's soccer team participates in its first semifinal game as they travel to No. 1 Washington and Lee University on Wednesday night.

The Hornets defeated EMU, 4-0, on Saturday night to earn their first-ever tournament win while the Generals shutout Averett to move on.

TEAM LEADERS
The Hornets are led by Nathan Yared who has 11 goals and five assists in 15 starts. Weyimi Agbeyegbe tops the Generals' scoring list with 10 goals in his 18 starts.

Both teams dish the ball well as they each have at least eleven players with an assist. Kyle Welch is right behind Yared with four assists for SU. Buster Couhig is the top passer for W&L with seven assists.

In net Travis Jett has a 1.25 goals against helping Shenandoah to nine overall wins. Will Joseph has been a wall in the net for Washington and Lee, as he posts a 0.87 goals against average.

LAST MEETING
Shenandoah traveled to Washington and Lee back on September 23rd and was defeated 2-1. 

The Hornets had a 1-0 lead with under 90 seconds left in the game. However, the Generals rattled off two goals in just 53 seconds to steal the victory.

Since that game, Shenandoah is 5-1-2 in conference games and 6-2-2 overall.

UP NEXT
The winner of the game faces the winner of the No. 2 Lynchburg vs. No. 3 Virginia Wesleyan game in the ODAC Championship on Saturday.
