AUSTIN, Texas – The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics had seven student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors in selections announced Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators.

Mairead McKibbin, Elise Velasquez, and Farren Winter earn spots on the At-Large team from the field hockey program with women's lacrosse stars Madison Re and Emma Stiffler completing the five female honorees.

On the men's side, men's lacrosse standouts Mark Isabelle and Max Myers earn the accolade.

The seven are now candidates for their respective Academic All-America teams.

McKibbin was selected as a NFHCA second team honoree and Stiffler to the honorable mention team by USA Lacrosse. Stiffler completed her lacrosse career as the all-time leading scorer in program history.

Six of the seven have earned All-ODAC honors during their careers with McKibbin and Velasquez selected as the field hockey Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, this past season. McKibbin and Winter are both former ODAC Rookie of the Year honorees.

Myers earned third team All-ODAC honors as a midfielder this season while Isabelle backstopped the program to its second straight ODAC Tournament quarterfinals round appearance with 224 saves in 1140 minutes of action.

Nominees for Academic All-America must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be starters or important reserves on their teams. Collegiate strategic communicators members select the Academic All-America teams through a national voting process with the announcement scheduled for next month.
