Men's Soccer Falls to Nittany Lions

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team lost 2-0 in a non-conference home game against Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday night.

The Hornets (3-3-2) allowed a goal in each half while getting six shots off in the game versus the Nittany Lions (4-3-3).

IN BRIEF
Shenandoah controlled the first portion of the game getting the first shot on goal in the 5th minute. Eleven minutes later Chinedu Ikem put a ball on the net that was saved by the opposition.

Following the two early chances, the Nittany Lions took the momentum and applied pressure in the Hornets' defensive end. In the 36th minute, Penn State Harrisburg struck first on a shot from outside 30 yards out that found a slot just beneath the crossbar to give them the lead.

Up 1-0, the Lions connected on a well-timed pass in the Hornets box to double their lead with just over 30 minutes remaining in the contest.

Shenandoah was held to just one more shot for the remainder of the game as the visiting team controlled possession.
