Wrestling Ranked Fourth in ODAC Preseason Poll

FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's wrestling team was selected fourth in the 2025-26 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) preseason poll, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

The Hornets earned 19 points in the seven-team poll, with Roanoke College topping the list with 36 points and six first-place votes. Washington and Lee University (31 points) and Averett University (26 points) rank in the two spots in front of SU, with Greensboro College, Southern Virginia University, and Randolph College rounding out the poll.

Shenandoah had three wrestlers ranked inside the top three of their respective weight classes for the conference. Anakin Burks (125), Sean Rinebolt (141), and Hunter Ballantine (157) each placed third in the conference's watch list.

Rinebolt also ranks fourth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Region 4 rankings for the 141 weight class, while Cannon Long is sixth for 157.

Shenandoah starts the season this Saturday at the Tonee Ellis Invite hosted by Alvernia University.
