Women's Basketball Releases 2025-26 Schedule

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team has announced its 2025-26 schedule, head coach Melissa Smeltzer-Kraft revealed Tuesday morning.

The Hornets, coming off their fourth straight 17-win season, will host 10 home contests this winter.

The campaign tips off on November 10 with a 5 p.m. non-conference matchup against Catholic. SU then heads on the road for four straight games, including neutral-site contests at Randolph-Macon against Gettysburg and Mary Washington.

Following Thanksgiving weekend, the Hornets return home for a November 30 meeting with Christopher Newport before opening ODAC play December 4 at Virginia Wesleyan. The team's lone home game in December is set for December 6 versus Roanoke, with two additional road contests closing out the calendar year.

The 2026 portion of the slate begins January 3 with a 3 p.m. non-conference game against DeSales. Four days later, SU welcomes Averett for a midweek ODAC matchup at 7:30 p.m.

The remainder of January features seven ODAC games, highlighted by home dates against Randolph-Macon, Lynchburg, and Randolph. Alumni Day is scheduled for January 17 versus Lynchburg, while the January 25 matchup against Randolph coincides with the department's Hall of Fame weekend.

February opens with back-to-back home games against Virginia Wesleyan (Feb. 4) and Hollins (Feb. 7), with Senior Day set for the Hollins contest. The Hornets then close the regular season with three of their final four games on the road, hosting Eastern Mennonite on February 18 in their last home appearance.
