RECAP

Shenandoah and Johns Hopkins split control in the first half, with each starting goalie making a save for their respective team in the first 30 minutes. Following three consecutive offsides against the Blue Jays, the Hornets were able to gain their first corner of the game.

Peyton Lubinsky lined up to take the corner kick and crossed the ball into the center of the box, leading to McKenna Newcome putting the ball right between the goalie's legs and into the net for the game's opening goal.

Johns Hopkins responded roughly eight minutes later, tying the game, with a goal near the Hornets' goalline. The teams went into the halftime break tied, with the Blue Jays leading 5-3 in shots.
