NCAA Tournament First Round Preview: Hornets Play Trine for First Time Ever

GRANVILLE, Ohio. - The Shenandoah University women's basketball team heads to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in program history and the fourth time in eight seasons. The Hornets earned an at-large bid into this year's tournament and face Trine University in the first round at the Denison Pod.

The Hornets and Thunder meet for the first time on Friday at 5 p.m., with the winner facing the advancing team from Denison vs Southern Virginia in the second round on Saturday.

Shenandoah comes into the first round game with 20 wins and an appearance in the ODAC Semifinals, while Trine has 22 wins and was runner-ups in the MIAA.
