Jimmy Rodriguez joined the Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as its head athletic trainer in August, 2022.
Rodriguez, a US Navy veteran, came to Shenandoah after working at Sentara Healthcare in 2021-22. At Sentara, he was assigned as an athletic trainer to Virginia Wesleyan University and worked with a variety of the Marlins' teams during his tenure.
Prior to that experience, Rodriguez worked with the track & field and softball teams at Idaho State University during his graduate studies while also assisting with the MLS champion Seattle Sounders Football Club.
At Shenandoah, Rodriguez heads a department of five full-time athletic trainers and two strength & conditioning coaches that are responsible for the health and well-being of the university's 600 student-athletes.
