Former SU great Chad Brashears returns for his fourth year at his alma mater as a member of coach Rob Pryor's basketball staff.

A 2005 Shenandoah grad who starred for four years for the Hornets, Brashears joined Pryor's staff in June 2013 after three seasons as the assistant coach at junior college power Hagerstown (Md.) Community College.

The Hagerstown native got his coaching start at St. Maria Goretti H.S. in his hometown and served as the varsity head coach from 2008-10.

After leaving Goretti following the 2009-10 season, Brashears moved onto HCC, where he helped that team to Region XX titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and a national tournament appearance in 2013.

Brashears directed the offense to a second best in the nation 94.6 per game average in 2012-13.
