Returning to men's lacrosse staff for the 2016-17 season is former Washington College All-America Bennett Cord.
Cord, who earned USILA All-America honors in 2012 and 2013, joined the SU staff in August 2015 after serving as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Gathersburg (Md.) High School for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
The college All-America honors cap a career in which he earned US Lacrosse All-America accolades at Gaithersburg H.S. in 2008.
Cord also has worked as an instructor for Shirk Lacrosse Camps in Chestertown, Maryland and as a U-15 coach for Rock Lacrosse.
At Washington College, Cord was a two-time All-Centennial Conference honoree in addition to earning CC Player of the Year honors in 2012.
In 2013, he led the Shoremen to their first 'War on the Shore' victory over perennial Division III power Salisbury University in 14 seasons.
With the Hornets, Cord is involved in all aspects of the program including recruiting, practice and game management and player development.
