Gary Foley comes to Shenandoah after playing for four years at the University of Mary Washington, spending the 2018 season under Coach Zach MacDougall’s tutelage.
Foley played and started in every single match during his career at Mary Washington including NCAA post-season runs his junior and senior year.
Coach Foley served on the team’s leadership counsel and as a team captain and a five-time Dean’s List recipient at UMW.
In addition to playing at Mary Washington, he was a camp counselor at the Mary Washington Soccer Academy supervising campers ranging from 6-15 years old during the 2016-2018 summers.
“I am incredibly excited to have Gary and Chris join the program this fall,” Head Coach Zach MacDougall said. “They both come from great soccer backgrounds and will be instrumental in the continued growth of the Shenandoah Men's Soccer Program. Between their playing and coaching experiences, they bring a wealth of knowledge that will benefit our players greatly. I could not have asked for two better people to join this program. We are very fortunate to have them moving forward.”
Foley will be active in all aspects of the program.
