Lucas Turney was an assistant men's soccer coach for the 2021-22 academic year. This bio now exists as a historical reference.
Former University of Mary Washington standout Lucas Turney rounds out Zack MacDougall’s staff for the 2021 season.
Turney, a Dayton, Maryland native, played four years of soccer for the Eagles as a back with 45 starts in 65 appearances. In that time, he had a goal and three assists for 11 points and earned CAC All-Academic team honors three times.
Turney was also a team captain his senior year and a member of the department’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Following graduation, he served as a club and high school assistant coach for both boys and girls.
He will be involved in all aspects of the program at SU including practice and game management, player development, recruiting, and academic monitoring.
