Erin Septer '17, '20, was a women's soccer graduate assistant for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, a volunteer assistant in 2020, and the lead assistant in 2021. This bio now exists as a historical reference.

In the fall, 2020 semester, Septer served the Shenandoah University Athletics administration staff as a compliance intern as she completed her master's degree. 
 
Septer, a four-year All-ODAC selection for the Hornets, rejoined the women’s soccer program in the fall of 2018 as the department’s first-ever graduate assistant. She earned her undergraduate degree in exercise science from SU in 2017 and made 79 starts for the Hornets. As a graduate student, Septer earned an organizational leadership degree from the School of Education and Leadership. 

While protecting the net, the Hamilton, New Jersey native made a second-best-in-program-history 306 saves and ended her career with a .797 save percentage. She holds program records for wins (40), goalie games played (81), games started (79), minutes played (6,397), and shutouts (25). Two of her four All-ODAC accolades were first team selections and she also collected All-State honors as a junior. She was an ODAC All-Tournament honoree as a sophomore.

Septer has private training experience and worked with club soccer teams in addition to holding a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1 certificate.
