Haleigh Echard served as an assistant coach with the women's soccer program for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. This bio now exists as a historical reference.
Haleigh Echard, a Lebanon, Pennsylvania native and 2018 Penn State graduate, is in her second year as the lead assistant coach for Coach Pike's staff.
As a player, Echard made 93 appearances for the Nittany Lions and was a member of the 2015 NCAA National Championship team. She recorded 22 points in 3,286 minutes of action. Off the field, the education major earned Academic All-Big Ten honors three times and was also recognized as a 2016 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Echard served as a member on the Penn State Student Athlete Advisory Board and the Athletic Director’s Leadership Institute from 2014 to 2018.
“Haleigh is coming on as our lead assistant coach and will be active in all aspects of our program,” Pike said. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and fresh ideas with her experience playing at a top Division I program and the U-18 National Team. We look forward to Haleigh establishing strong relationships with our athletes and implementing a higher level skill-set at Shenandoah. I believe the women in this program will benefit tremendously from this hire.”
Echard holds U.S Soccer National “E” and “F” coaching licenses and has two years of coaching soccer at the club level.

In addition to her coaching duties, Echard is a teacher in the Frederick County, Virginia school system.
