Janice Johnson

Johnson, a Greenbelt, Maryland native, joins Liz Pike’s staff in August, 2022 after four seasons on the Catholic University of America staff. In that time, she helped the Cardinals to 24 wins in three seasons of championship play with the 2018 squad finishing 10-5-3 and 5-1-1 in Landmark Conference play.
 
A 2015 graduate of West Liberty University, Johnson played three seasons for the Hilltoppers as the captain of the new program. In that time, she started all 52 games, scoring five goals and five assists for 15 points, and was a three-time All-WVIAC selection. In her senior year, she earned All-Region accolades.
 
Johnson started her collegiate career at DI George Mason and made six starts in 19 games played.
 
Johnson holds dual citizenship in the United States and Trinidad and has international playing experience with that latter country. In December 2015, she earned her first international cap when Trinidad & Tobago took on the United States in a 6-0 victory by the US played at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
 
In addition to her coaching experience with CUA, Johnson has worked with Prince William Soccer Incorporated and Chantilly Youth Association in Northern Virginia. She will continue this coaching path in the Shenandoah Valley by coaching with FC Revolution.
 
Johnson holds a USSF ‘C’ license along with an advanced national diploma and a director of coaching license from the United Soccer Coaches. Additionally, she holds a Level 1 license from the English Football Association.
 
With the Hornets, Johnson is involved in all aspects of the program including practice and game management, recruiting, player development, and academic monitoring.
