Matt McIntosh '23 was named Director of Athletic Communications in August 2025, after joining the athletic department in a full-time role in June, 2023. He served as Assistant Athletic Communications Director for two years after serving as a student assistant in the athletic communications office during his undergraduate years.
In 2022 and 2023, McIntosh assisted with the Division III Baseball Regionals hosted by Shenandoah. He helped with the planning and organizing of the tournament and provided play-by-play commentary for the entirety of the 2022 tournament and was the athletic communications contact for the '23 regional.
In the fall of 2022, he expanded his role to serve as an assistant athletic communications director. His leadership in this area also earned him an ODK national leadership honor society induction in late 2022.
In May 2022, McIntosh assisted with gameday operations for the NCAA 2022 Division III Softball Championship in Salem, Va.Â
In 2020, McIntosh, along with Jet Hayes '22, became a founding host of the "Shenandoah University Student-Athlete Series" podcast.
McIntosh, a Clarke County native, is involved with all aspects of the athletic communications office including game management, event preparation and management, social media, and content creation.
