Shenandoah University

Ward attended Shenandoah when it was a two-year institution located in Dayton, Va. Following the completion of his playing career, Ward went on to coach at Shenandoah and was honored by the Shenandoah University Alumni Association as a 2000 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. Ward is also the past president of the Dayton Alumni Society and an orginial member of the Hall of Fame selection committee.
