BUENA VISTA, Va. - The SU men's basketball team completed its fall semester Saturday afternoon with a 79-64 victory at Southern Virginia.

The win gives SU (6-1) a sweep of the season series over the Knights (4-9). Shenandoah was an 81-72 winner over SVU in Winchester on December 3.

The Hornets used a balanced scoring attack and a strong shooting performance to propel themselves to their second win in less than 24 hours. All five starters scored in double figures and SU shot 54 percent from the field in taking the victory.

After jumping out to an early lead and then seeing their hosts come back to take a 21-20 lead, SU took the lead for good on a 20-9 run to finish the first half.

Shenandoah never led by less than five points the rest of the way and extended its advantage to as much as 21 points during the final 20 minutes of play.
