WINCHESTER, Va. - Randolph Macon College used a goal in each half Wednesday evening to defeat homestanding Shenandoah University 2-0 in non-conference men's soccer action.

The Yellow Jackets (4-1) got a goal from David Tait in the 30th minute off an assist by Patrick Kimmel before adding an insurance goal seven minutes into the second half.

Matthew Garofalo tallied that unassisted goal, giving RMC some breathing room against Shenandoah (2-3).

The loss snaps a two-game winning streak for SU; the Hornets also had not given up a goal in more than 200 minutes before Tait took the cross from Kimmel and tucked the ball into the left panel from 20 yards out.

Shenandoah actually outshot Macon, 15-11, but the Jackets had five shots on goal to the Hornets four.

SU keeper Kyle Hodges had three saves.
