The error went for three bases, scoring Lambert and putting Jenkins 90 feet from home.

One batter later, senior Ryan Anderson lofted a sacrifice fly to center to score Jenkins.

After Columbia Union made things interesting with a pair of unearned runs in the top of the seventh, SU answered with three runs in its turn at-bat. Freshman Nick Gregg, in just his second start of the year, drove Jenkins and Anderson with a single to center. Those two reached via a walk and bunt single, respectively.

Lambert finished the day 3-for-4 with Van Dusseldorp and Gregg getting two each apiece. The Hornets had nine hits on the day.
