WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University continued its women's
soccer winning ways with a 2-0 USA South shutout victory over
Ferrum College Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets (8-6-2, 3-1-1 USA South) kept themselves in
contention for a home game at the upcoming USA South Conference
Tournament with the shutout over the Panthers (2-12-1, 1-6).

Hensley tallied what proved to be the game-winner in the
ninth minute off an assist from freshman Amber Womack.
The two teams then went scoreless for the next 80 minutes in the
cold and wet conditions on Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium before
Jessi
Dennis scored the second and final goal of the game with
85 seconds remaining.
Shenandoah dominated play, taking 12 of the game's 13 shots, and
SU keeper Brooke
Strickler had to make just one save to earn the shutout.
The Hornets host Averett on Sunday at noon in another USA South
Conference game.
