WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting N.C. Wesleyan rallied from an early
deficit Friday evening to secure a 4-1 USA South Conference men's
soccer victory over host Shenandoah.
After sophomore L.A. St. Hill gave
SU (3-9-2, 1-4 USA South) a 1-0 lead with his goal in the 20th
minute, the Bishops (8-6, 3-1) countered with four unanswered.
Irvin Herrera tied it for the visitors with his unassisted goal
just under three minutes before halftime and Edgar Zaldivar tallied
the game-winner 9:28 into the second half.
NCWC added two goals in a 59-second span late in the second half
to provide the final margin of victory.
The Bishops outshot SU 14-7 and held a 7-5 advantage in corners.
Arman
Bozorgmanesh had eight saves.
Shenandoah completes its non-conference schedule on Tuesday
night with a 7:00 contest against St. Mary's of Maryland.
