WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University volleyball team
snapped a four-match losing streak with a non-league doubleheader
sweep over Christendom College Monday evening.
Shenandoah (9-9) needed just 85 total minutes to sweep the
Crusaders (2-7) in a pair of non-league matches. SU was 7,4 and 10
winner in the opening match before winning at 5,2 and 6 in the
nightcap.
Senior Jessi Johnson had a
match-high nine kills in the opening match with sophomore Brittany
Harryman adding seven and Rachel Maki six.
Freshman Kelcy Brown keyed the
offensive effort with 32 assists.
In the nightcap, Megan Gillispie
and Harryman both had eight kills in the extremely quick match.
Brown finished her night with 27 assists while Mary Young had 12
service aces.
Shenandoah hosts Mary Baldwin on Wednesday at 6 in a USA South
match.
