WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Mary Washington scored a goal in each
half Tuesday night to clinch a 2-0 non-league women's soccer
victory over host Shenandoah.
Sophomore Bridget Dooley scored what proved to be the
game-winner with her unassisted tally in the 42nd minute before
Chrissy Reardon tallied an insurance goal with just over 13 minutes
to play.
Reardon ripped her goal - she took a cross from Amy Olson at the
six-yard box and tucked the shot just under the crossbar.
Hornets keepers Kat Terza and Brooke
Strickler made a combined 11 saves - Terza had seven of
those in 69:55 of action.
The Eagles outshot SU 17-3 and took all six of the game's
corners.
Shenandoah is back in action on Friday night at home against
Marymount. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
