WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University earned its first men's
soccer victory of the 2009 season with a 2-0 non-league win over
Hood College Monday night on Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.
Senior Adam
Aldinger scored in the 33rd and 51st
minutes to give the Hornets (1-4-1) the win over Hood (1-4).
The triumph snaps a six-match winless streak stretching
back to the final game of the 2008 season.
L.A. St. Hill
and Liberatus
Mwagombe assisted on the first and second goals, respectively.
SU outshot the Blazers 17-3, including 12-0 in the second half
and also held a 7-5 advantage in corners.
Shenandoah is off until hosting Washington & Lee on Saturday
afternoon.
