ARLINGTON, Va. - Host Marymount University ended Shenandoah
University's men's soccer unbeaten streak with a 1-0 non-league win
Wednesday night at Washington-Lee High School.
Cherif Moktefi scored in the third minute and the Saints (4-3-1)
made that goal stand up against SU (1-5-2).
The two teams each had 12 shots, and Shenandoah doubled up its
hosts in the second half, but the Hornets could not convert the
equalizer. Coach Des
Lawless' squad also had all eight of the game's corners.
SU keeper Arman
Bozorgmanesh made seven saves in the losing effort.
Shenandoah hosts Stevenson on Sunday at 5 in the final game of a
triple-header with the women's soccer and field hockey teams. Play
