South Conference women's soccer victory of the 2010 season with a
3-0 shutout of Meredith College Saturday afternoon on Sprint Field
at Shentel Stadium.

opening 45 minutes.

she took a cross-goal pass from sophomore Katie Cataldo and
poked it home from six yards out.
After the next 60 minutes of game-time went by without another
tally, Shenandoah scored twice in a span of 2:45 to put the contest
out of reach.
Junior Jessi
Dennis made it 2-0 by finishing off a long through pass from
sophomore Amber
Womack, and then Womack scored a goal of her own by beating at
defender at the top of the 18 and ripping the ball into the left
side of the net.
MC keeper Aslyn Rau had four saves for her side.
Meredith, which entered the game No. 10 in the South Region, did
have seven of the game's nine corners.
