DANVILLE, Va. - Host Averett University scored a pair of first
half goals on its way to a 2-0 USA South Conference men's soccer
victory over Shenandoah.
The Cougars (7-5-1, 1-1 USA South) scored in the 19th and 32nd
minutes to down the Hornets (3-8-1, 0-2).
Dan Eborall had what proved to be the game-winner for AU on an
unassisted tally.
Averett outshot Shenandoah 15-5 in the contest, including seven
of eight shots on goal.
The Cougars had seven of the game's 12 corners.
SU keeper Adrian Acosta had five saves in the losing effort.
The Hornets are back in action Wednesday night at 7 in a
non-league home match against Bluefield.
