RADNOR, Pa. - No. 18 Cabrini College jumped all over Shenandoah
University in a 25-4 CSAC men's lacrosse victory Saturday afternoon
at Cabrini.
Cabrini (9-3, 4-0 CSAC) scored the first seven goals of the game
and never looked back against SU (2-8, 0-3).
Courtney
Ledden snapped that CC 7-0 run to start the game with an
unassisted goal for the Hornets at 3:56 of the first, but the
Cavaliers weren't finished.
Cabrini scored 14 straight goals in the next 27:41 of game time
to lead 21-1 with 6:15 to play in the third.
Ledden again stopped the string, this time off of a Jimmy Noel feed
four seconds before the end of the third, but the damage had been
done.
The Cavs then coasted home to the win by scoring four of the
game's final six goals.
Sean Mack
and PJ Cooper had the Hornets final two tallies, at 5:40 and 3:40,
respectively.
Cabrini outshot SU 47-15, won 53 of 91 groundballs but
was held in check by another solid performance from Mack at the
faceoff 'x'. Mack was 10 for 18 as CC held a 15-14 advantage in
this category.
Starting Shenandoah goalie Andrew Fleishmann had six saves in
43:35 of action.
SU hosts Catholic on Tuesday at 7 in a non-league game.
