HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Host Centenary pulled away from Shenandoah
in the second half to down the Hornets 16-8 in non-league women's
lacrosse action Tuesday afternoon.
The Cyclones (8-0) led 8-6 at the break and pulled away by
scoring five of the first six goals of the second half.
Shenandoah (7-6), which trailed 6-2 at the 12:50 mark of the
first half, got as close as one goal thanks to a 3-0 run courtesy
of freshman Amy
Rollins.
Rollins had her first-ever natural hat trick by scoring at
11:08, 7:26 and 6:20. Unfortunately for the Hornets, CC scored
twice within a 40-second span to take an 8-5 lead with just over
two minutes remaining in the half.

this time off an assist from Jennie Ott, at the
58-second mark.
Centenary scored the first two goals following the break, both
on free position shots, and cruised home to the eight-goal win.
Rollins led SU with five goals with Ott adding a goal and three
assists.
The Cyclones held a 52-18 advantage in shots, won 47 of 67
