LEXINGTON, Va. - Shenandoah University snapped its three-match
men's soccer losing streak with a 0-0 non-league tie against
Washington & Lee Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets (2-4-1) and Generals (1-1-2) battled for 110 minutes
on a perfect Saturday afternoon with neither team being able to
find the back of the net.
Washington & Lee held a 16-5 advantage in shots, but each
team was only able to put two shots on goal.
All four of these shots came in the first half; the two teams
played the final 76:47 of the contest without forcing either keeper
to make a save.
For SU goalkeeper Adrian Acosta, it is his second save of the
season.
Shenandoah hosts Marymount Sunday evening at 6:00 in a
non-league contest.
