Women's Soccer Shuts Out Avenging Angels

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team earned its third USA South Conference victory of the season Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 road win at Meredith College.

The Hornets (8-5, 3-1 USA South) scored one goal in each half to defeat the Avenging Angels (3-6-3, 0-2-1) for the second straight season.

Sophomore Jenna Kline had proved to be the game-winner for SU, scoring unassisted in the 20th minute.

In the 73rd, sophomore Brittany Mason gave her club an insurance goal with another unassisted tally.

Senior Kat Terza then did the rest, making four saves to record her third shutout of the season.

The women complete this weekend trip to the North Carolina state capital with a 2:00 game at Peace Sunday afternoon.
