RALEIGH, N.C. - Shenandoah University scored early and often in a 12-1 USA South Conference women's soccer victory over Peace College Sunday afternoon.
Shenandoah (9-5, 4-1 USA South) won for the third straight time and fourth time in the last five games with the blowout victory over PC (1-12, 0-4).
The 12 goals also ties a USA South era program record, set last season against Peace, for goals in a game.
SU scored 10 times in the first 45 minutes of play as it pelted PC keeper Daisy Vasilko with 33 shots.
Eight different women scored in this span with only senior Kat Terza and sophomore Laura Standley scoring more than once.
Terza, Standley and classmate Brittany Butcher led the victors with two goals each.
Junior Amber Womack had the game-winner with her goal in the sixth minute.
Shenandoah finished the game with a 54-3 shot advantage and had eight of the nine corners awarded.
The Hornets step out of conference to travel to Catholic University of America on Tuesday at 4:00.
