WASHINGTON, D.C. - Shenandoah University completed its volleyball participation in the 2011 Worthington Tournament hosted by Gallaudet University with a pair of losses Saturday afternoon.
Shenandoah (11-11) lost 3-0 to the host Bison the first match before Keuka was a 3-2 winner in the championship-round matchup.
The Bison (17-6) won at 21, 16 and 10 over the Hornets in that first contest.
Junior Mary Harshman had four kills to lead the SU offense with senior Rachel Maki adding three.
Kelcy Brown had seven of the team's 14 assists.
The Storm (10-6) were 25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 11-25, 15-11 victors over SU.
Maki and sophomore Katy Griffith had a match-high 11 kills each for the Hornets while Haley Smith added eight.
Brown and Brooke Strathy ran the Shenandoah attack with 24 and 20 assists, respectively.
Harshman led a group of five women in double-digits in digs with 19.
SU returns to USA South Conference play on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. match against Ferrum.
