ROANOKE, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team completed its inaugural ODAC regular season Tuesday afternoon with a 7-0 victory at Hollins.
The victory means that SU (8-10-1, 6-5-1 ODAC) officially finishes seventh in its first season of ODAC play.
Coach Liz Pike's club will be the No. 7 seed at the upcoming ODAC Tournament and will play at the second-seed (most likely Washington and Lee) on Saturday in a quarterfinal round game.
Pairings and times will be officially announced following the completion of regular season play on Wednesday evening.
Shenandoah wasted little time on Tuesday against Hollins (4-13, 2-10), scoring a goal just 1:58 in and taking a 4-0 lead by the time the game was a half-hour old.
Senior Stormie Malik had that opening goal, finishing off a Danielle Burris assist, before notching a second goal in the 27th minute.
Harmon Hall, playing in front of her hometown fans, made it 3-0 just 2:05 after Malik's second goal by converting Hannah Oakes' second straight assist.
Burris closed the book on the first half scoring with her tally at 30:14.
SU scored in the 49th, 56th and 63rd minutes, the last by Kelli Kitchens, a Hollins transfer, to provide the final margin of victory.
The Hornets outshot HU 38-8 and had all 10 of the game's corners.
Nichole Pratt had four saves to post her fourth shutout of the year.
