Women Fall in Double OT

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team played regional power Mary Washington for more than 100 minutes Monday afternoon before falling 1-0 in a non-conference contest.

Erin Reynolds scored unassisted for UMW (9-1-2) in the 105th minute to push the Eagles past Shenandoah (5-8-1).

Prior to Reynolds' tally, the two teams were locked in a close battle. Mary Washington had a 12-8 advantage in shots before the game-winner, but SU took six of seven shots in the second half.

UMW had a slight, 5-3, advantage in corner kicks.

Hornets keeper Nicole Pratt made six saves to keep her side in it.

Shenandoah returns to ODAC play with a home contest on Wednesday night at 7:00 against Washington and Lee.
