UNION, N.J. - Shenandoah University started its 2012 women's soccer campaign with a 2-1 loss to Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in the opening round of the Kean University Tournament.
The Ospreys (1-0) sandwiched a pair of second half goals around a Sarah Hensley tally to down the Hornets (0-1).
Richard Stockton scored in the 49th and 79th minutes with the winner coming on a rebound of a shot that originally hit the crossbar.
Hensley had her unassisted tally on a 12-yard blast in the 56th minute.
The Ospreys had an 11-9 advantage in shots and took eight of the game's 10 corners.
Kristen Barrickman made four saves in her first collegiate start in goal.
Shenandoah completes tournament play with a Saturday contest against host Kean.
